Welcome! Here's a great sticky to read about glass tanks: http://www.ball-pythons.net/forums/s...d.php?t=56846; sort of check your set-up with what is described and see what's working for you and maybe some ideas of what you might want to change or improve upon.
    We love to see pictures...*cough*hint hint*cough* :D

Thats great that your researching! Make sure that you have plenty of hides inside that 60 gallon, for one that young he could get a little lost in it;)

Good luck with that tank.... and by "good luck" I mean "go with something smaller" :)

I fought either a 55 or 75 gallon (I'm not sure which it is) for a long time, trying to get the temps and humidity up, to no avail. Upon switching to an under-bed storage tub, I've had zero issues.

...or one entire part of a termite mound!!! Really, that lady is kind but ignorant. Rescue the snake, tell her you have an entire room for it, and then go home and put it into a reptile cage or a tub. Over and over again on this list beginning snake keepers have a really hard time with tanks- they were meant for fish! ;)
