very excited snake ate!!!

Well I have had my snake for two weeks now and I got it to eat today! I tried last week but I messed up and scared her. But today she took a F/T mouse like a champ.

I know this is no big deal to most but I am happy that she ate I have read of snakes not eating and was so worried that mine would have problems especially how I messed up scaring her last week.

thanks to this site I have read so much on here and without all the info I picked up here I am sure my snake would not be happily full of mouse tonight. I am so happy!

Congrats...good job:) I got a new one 2 weeks ago..tried to feed her last week, no go, ill try again this weekend and cross my fingers she eats too...

I've had mine for about a month, and still get happy every time he eats :)

Congrats on the successful feeding. Remember next week what worked and just do that all over again every week. These snakes really seem to respond well to simple routines that they can clue in to. Pretty soon you'll have a happy and aggressive eater that is already in strike position by feeding night just waiting for you and that yummy mouse to appear. :D

Yup, the main thing now is to be on a schedule. Mine are waiting with their heads out of their hides waiting for the rat/mouse dance:) I'm still excited to see each of my snakes feed right away.

haha my thoughts exactly! i love when they eat. congrats with your successful feeding. i actually have a little one i have to feed for the first time as well and i can wait for her to eat. good luck with feeding her a second time!
