    introducing a new snake
Hi! I have one enclosure with 1 ball python, he (or she, we haven't taken him to the vet yet since it's very cold outside and I didn't want to risk anything in transportation). He's about 6 months old, I've had him since about a week after hatching. I was wondering how safe would it be to introduce another ball into the enclosure? How old would it have to be? a hatchling or find one about the same size? could it be a morph, or wildtype (like mine), I've never seen morphs mixed in a pet store, but I don't know if there's a reason.

Anyways, thanks for all your help!

I wouldn't do it....they are solitary animals and really don't like the company. One will end up dominating the other and stressing it and you can have problems with early breeding that can kill them. again just imho....I have even heard of cannibalism in some though I have never seen it. Good Luck!:gj: also it's hard to keep records of sheds and such.

    Welcome to the site!

In my opinion, it's not a good idea to house together.
