My Pick Ups from the Arlington NARBC
I will be posting more pics of each of my new snake in their individual forums if you want to see more you can check out the RTB, BP and General Colubrids.

Anyway I am now a member of two BP.net clubs that I have taken to long to join. First I am probably the only person here who owns several dozen snakes and not a one Ball Python. Resisting the high priced morphs I stuck with a good old captive born normal. This rounds out my snakes for my shows with kids very nicely they always ask about Ball Pythons. She has growing to do but what a sweet little girl she is.

Next I have a black milk snake already but many times he is in shed when I have a show to do. That boy is such a hit I decided to add a girl to the mix. Got this little girl from Don at South Mountain Reptiles. I plan to shoot her every month as she changes and use those pics for my snake shows to show the changes. You can already see black dots starting to cover up that beautiful tri color.

Last after a few years of asking myself if I was willing to commit to what is needed to own a big boa I decided I was. Then I ended up passing a very small booth from a company called Winding Creek herps and saw what I have to say were some of the most beautiful normal Columbian Red Tails I have ever seen. So blond that they almost look like hypos. I took my pick of the males, here he is.

I always like to give the vendors I deal with credit for good animals and great service. Don I have dealt with many times at South Mountain and I just placed the majority of my House Snakes with him. Stand up guy and produces some of the best corns in the world. The other two were first time buys but I can tell you both were very helpful, honest about everything and willing to stand behind their animals.

    The Vendors were

South Mountain Reptiles - Black Milk

Winding Creek Herps - Columbian Red Tail Boa

    Royal Reptilia - Ball Python

I think I saw you there, but I wasn't sure. Guess I should have said "hi".

    Very nice!
    I like black milks too.

It's great that you do educational talks with snakes. I think it really helps people get over some preconceived notions about snakes and them being "yucky"

Great pick ups! Don is really fantastic to deal with. He's supplied a good portion of my Corns for me. I've never had a complaint or an ugly snake when dealing with him. :)

CONGRATS! I am so jealous. We went to the Hamburg, PA show yesterday and brought home NO snakes! I did pick up Will Bird's and Phil Peak's book "A Snake Hunting Guide" - happy about that esp. since I got to meet Will and chat with him. That was awesome... but still NO SNAKES. So I am happy for you, jealous, and ugh... JEALOUS!

    Congratulations! Have fun with them.
