Helix controls, is this the one I should get?
I purchased a BAH-1000, the new style the other day, and the probe is freaking huge, making it hard to get an accurate temp reading. I have it set around 88, and my temps are ranging from 89-93.7.

I don't really have a problem with that, but i've got some extra money and would like to get a helix control. All i'd like to know is if this is the only kind they sell

    http://www.helixcontrols.com/DBS1000.htm

If so i'm gonna grab it up. Thanks.

Jeff at Helix is awsome the product is great and service is outstanding. I just sent in a DBS 1000 and 2 older units to him and know that they will be good as new when they return.

Ok cool, just wasn't sure if there was another model I should look at. That's kinda pricey, but the BAH-1000 I have is kinda scary. Considering I set it to 94 and the temp goes to 106. I keep the t-stat at 88 and now it goes to 93.7. Too risky for me, maybe i'll use it for a cool side UTH.

Do you know what they use to ship? FedEx, UPS, DHL? I need to know because i'm sending to my work, and the Helix offices are closed.

If your only looking for controling one rack or one enclosure the Helix is great. If you are looking for multiple control points the Herpstat Pro is hard to beat for the price. The Herpstat pro is 4 Thermostats in one package. If you were going to get 4 Helix units you would spend over $500 for all 4. With the Herpstat Pro you get 4 seperate temp probes and each one controls a different output for around $320. Hard to beat the savings!

I have 5 of the Helix, and like them a lot. Just ordered 1 of the Herpstat. As Gloryhound said, the Herpstat is a savings if your are heating more then one unit.

I have a HerpStat unit. Love it! Getting a thermostat like this is a fantastic investment. Kudos! Your snake will be very happy. :D
