reptile room or herps in my bed room
hey guys my dad that i could do 1 of 2 things when we move to a new house in late june he want me to do the first.

    1. i could have a small section of our semi finished basement to have all my herps in. where there is a furnace that will heat the space somewhat and it will be like a cool little inclosed room for all my herps.

    2. or i could continue to keep them in my bed room where i have easy access to all of them and can just bring food to them when i go to bed and i get to watch them with all their antics, if it weren't for those two things i would totally do the first one.

but what do you guys think.

I think you should put them in an area that will have good room temps for them, but also somewhere you will continue to give them the care that they require.

:I keep mine in our guest bedroom( and if lately it has been where ive been sleeping:P but as the herps increase the beds leaveing) just because it is easy to access and the temps stay where i want them. I could keep them in our barn that has heat and air( And it keeps the temp perfect) but it would annoy the crap out of me traveling back and forth constantly to do the things i need to do with them, id have more space but id feel that i wouldnt be doing the best i can do and worry constantly if something will go wrong with the air or heat in there.

Id keep them where you want to keep them, if you go into your basement alot i would do it, but if they are healthy and happy in your room where you can have constant supervision over them id keep them in there. You can always move them later

I like to keep mine is a seperate room. They like their room to be quite a bit hotter than what I want my bedroom to be.

I think having a separate, heated room would be amazing, so that gets my vote.

my vote is for the reptile room. mine was called the guest room, but my wife renamed it the SNAKE ROOM:snake::snake::snake::snake::snake::snake::snake::snake:

I would love to have my own snake room. Eventually when I move out I am giving my snakes their very own room. Right now I have my room up to around 78 degrees 24/7. Good thing my favorite season is summer :).

Having them separate is nice. Perhaps you have space to make it comfortable for yourself too - a place to do homework or listen to music.
