    cleaning question about quat
i have read a lot of different things that people are using to clean and disinfect their snake enclosures.

i am a brewer by day so i have access and experience with a lot of different chemicals for cleaning and sanitizing and disinfecting. we use quat for a lot of different things and we dont rinse it. so my question is, can i use quaternary ammonia to clean and disinfect my snake tubs and enclosures with out rinsing and just wiping them dry?

i know a lot of you will say "when in doubt, rinsing more is better than rinsing too little." but does anyone KNOW if the quat is harmful to snakes?

    thanks

    Re: cleaning question about quat
i work in a plant that makes everything from cakes to
burgers and in the ice cream room they use Quat and the guy that brings in our chemicals has told me he wouldn't use it for anything else but what it was made for. he gave me a list of reason but that was a while ago and i don't remember why. but i took his word on it.
