    hamsters for boas?
is it good for your boa to eat hamsters or is it better for him.her to eat mice i was wondering cause i'm going to purchase a carpet python and a boa. and was wondering what i should feed it mice/rats/hamsters. all are fairly cheap in my area so any input would be greatly appericated.

Hamsters are higher in fat content than mice or rats. Rats provide the highest nutritional value to your boa. I try to feed appropriatly sized rats from the time my boas are young.

What would happen if your local hamster supply runs out and you are stuck paying 10$ each? Rats and mice are far more common, cheaper, and rats get to a more acceptable size for bigger boas
