the 4 month fasting is over

its been almost 4 months now since my big girl montana has eatin i have kept on offering mice and rats over the course of the 4 months to just so if the rat was to big she could try a smaller meal well last nite i decided to try f/t on montana and she ate all 3 mice took her time with them though so hopefully this will be the kick of a good feeding season and hopefully my pastel will start gaining weight and be ready for breeding season.

my 4 month period went like this maybe try it. i feed in the encloser do how ever suits you best. shes been feeding on 50 gram rats no problem then 4 months ago she stopped so i was like i know its not safe to keep live anything in a cage with a snake so i tried frozen thawed. and each week i would cut the rats size down i went from 50 one week to 25 gram rats she wouldnt take any of them then i said eff it and bought 3 frozen mice thawed them and she ate them. now its on to my pastel who i got from a reptile show was very thin and not eating right now looking at him i can see his spine which is not good but for only eating 2 hoppers in the time i have had ownership of him he looks alot better then when i first got him. im hoping that he starts eating as the spring time comes around. i think i have to switch his enclouser again hes in a 5 and a half gallon tank right now but i think i might have to put him in a 6 qt sertilite tub my avatar is the pic of my pastel when i first got him and hes the same size and has gone though 2 sheds.
