    Need Help with Heat
I recently got the animal plastics cb70 rack with the radiant side heat. It came with either 3 or 4 inch flexwatt, I cant remember which. Trouble is, I have my thermostat set at 90 and it cant get the temperature above 85 so it just sits on the whole time. Should I switch out the flexwatt with the 11 inch wide stuff to help spread some more heat?

Where do you have your thermostat probe on?

It is right under the tub ... in a slot. My thermometer that I have in there was saying that it was getting warm enough right there by the flexwatt but it wasn't getting warm enough on the cool side. I think the wider flexwatt would help just spread more ambient heat.

I have my thermostat probe on my flexwatt and then a thermometer in the tank. Bump up the thermostat temp until you reach the temps you need inside your tubs. If you just plugged the flexwatt in it takes a while before they heat up fully.

I have to set my helix to 107 before I get a good gradient. Try bumping up your thermostat. What kind of thermostat you using?

I left it overnight and I had my thermostat set at 90. The thermostat wouldn't even cycle on and off though. The thermostat just read 85 all day when it was wide open. I am using a ranco. I think I may replace the 4 inch wide stuff with the 11 inch and see if that gives me a better gradient.
