    Surprise bowl wrap
After reading Jasballs' posts about breeding small females I decided my 1,050g 05 girl was worth trying to breed. She has been my best feeder to date taking 1-2 rats per week without hesitation. She's just small at about 28"-30". I've had her tested for internal parasites and she's perfectly healthy, just a runt.

I had been trying to get my 500g spider to breed with a 2,200g female but he wasn't showing any interest. I decided to put him in with my small '05 girl to see if he would show more interest with a smaller girl in a smaller cage. I tried twice without seeing a lock, but last night when I checked on her she was bowl wrapped and lumping. So I threw my pastel in with her and they were locked up this morning.

I'm hoping I just missed seeing a lock with my spider, but I'll try him again in a week or so. Hopefully she goes for me and my fingers are crossed to a surprise spider from her. I doubt my spider is just going for quickies while I'm not looking, but we'll see what happens.

Thanks guys. I weighed this girl last night and she's up to 1,230g. Hopefully I'll be posting egg pics for her in a couple of months.
