    Baseball steroids Congress Investigation
Anyone else watching this garbage on the news today? Why is Congress wasting money investigating major league baseball?
Are these guys just getting their jollies off grilling roger Clemens just to be on TV?

Who cares, not good for them or kids to see their sports heros doing them, but not a matter for congress......

I think its a pretty big deal. I think he could have done it, but dought it. He was in the Majors for a long time, and at his age, there is a possiblity. the only way to deal with it is to go to congress...yes I watched it...I am sick.

I watched it to, I just don't think its a matter Congress needs to address. MLB screwed up by not caring, bring in the DEA, setup up some stings but come on......... CONGRESS has nothing better to due?

    Indeed!

With all the problems facing us (war, economy, health care, terrorisim, education) congress is going after a game. Don't they already waste enough tax dollars?

I agree to an extent. Baseball is not just a sport we watch on TV, it is a multi-billion dollar industry. If lying and cheating were going on in other businesses, I could see Congress addressing the issue (see Enron).

Steroids and drug trafficking are illegal. Also the Mitchell Report was done through Congress and Clemens said it was all lies. Clemens also wanted to speak, which is why they did it.

After watching most of it live....Clemens is guilty...no doubt about it. The man couldn't answer simple yes and no questions. I think overall Clemens buried himself and if they do a federal investigation he will probably serve some jail time now.
