    Pooper!
My new Spider Ball Python (Peter Parker is his name) Keeps pooping on me! I have had him for 2 weeks and have held him like 3 times, and 2 of those times he pooped. Does this normally happen more often with spiders?

He has already had his first meal with me... no problems there. He was hatched in August of 07. His stool is pretty runny. Could this be and indication of parasites or something??? Could it just be that he is not used to being handled, and in time this will stop??

I have certainly been pooped on over the years... but this guy seems to do it every time I pick him up! My wife wants to rename him to "peter pooper"

its most likely a coincidence. When you hold them it puts pressure on their bellies/intestine and then they gotta go. i dont think they care where the go. Kinda like tickling someone who has to piss really bad

When he poops on you do you return him to his enclosure? If you do you might be conditioning him to respond this way when he feels threatened or stressed. Next time you have him out and he poops on you I wouldn't return him to the cage, just hand him off to someone else while you clean up, then return him to the tank after a normal handling session.

mine pooped every time I took him out for the first few weeks I had him. people here thought it might be stress/defensive and I think they were right. After he got used to handling he stopped and hasn't pooped out of his cage since. Just keep up good handling practices and hopefully yours will get over it too.

Thankfully mine never poops on me, but he has pooped 4 times in the past 2 weeks and one of the poops (after a shed) was HUGE! lol He has been eating every 5 days tho, so maybe that's why.
