What would adding a small waterfall that circulates water do for my tank?

make clean up a hassle! cause vibrations in the cage which might cause snake stress. i think it would be really unneeded.

it would give your snake something to dump over ever night. Other than that, I don't see the benefit.

Ability to increase humidity if it is an issue. Depends on the mechanism for how the water is discharged as far as vibration. I agree that vibration would induce stress.
Clean up would be like any other tank item, its fair game!
The other benefit I can think of is that circulating water would keep the water source from becoming tepid. The con would be if the snake did urinate or defecate then it could make its way into the mechanism or pump and it would be hard to clean that out thoroughly (introducing bacterial buildup which may harm the snake).

    Hope that helps!

it's very small, i figured the water could help the humidity and its pretty heavy so i dont see how my baby bp could knock it over, im gonna see the vibrations now i cant remember if its bad or not

It wouldn't do anything for your tank that you can't do without it. It would however cause you snake nothing but grief.

Oh and it might look pretty and sound soothing (at least to you), but considering that's where your snake has to live and not you I'm sure you're more inclined to making it comfortable for him/her.

advice from someone that owns it:
    Pros:
it increases humidity and keeps it very steady
    Looks cool in the tank
Really helpful when the snake is trying to shed.
Vibrations are pretty nonexistant if you set up the pump correctly and keep it full with water.

    Cons:
The only one I can think of is cleaning. Not very easy to do and to keep your snake healthy, u gotta have a clean environment.

Other than that it is a pretty good buy

I have the Exo-Terra Large Waterfall.

A running waterfall would stress out your ball python. Save you $20...and avoid most of that Exo-Terra/Zoo-Med decoration stuff...its all made overseas...probably chock full of lead to boot...

What the heck, give it a try it might look really cool. Large naturalistic vivariums look really nice, but the upkeep can be a headache. I doubt very much that it could hurt your snake, though your snake might make a big mess out things. You'll probably be ready to simplify once your snake achieves any kind of size, but I think it would be fun to try it out just to see what works and what doesn't
