    Too much humidity and Temp?
Well when I first started my BP adventure I was having a horrible time getting the humidity and temps right, now I have been forced to put my BP in a slightly smaller tank [20 L] I had him in a 29G. Well I normally put a piece of fiberglass over the top to keep humidity in but I am getting too much heat and humidity and I have my light that gives the majority of the heat on low as possible [using a thermostat] I took off about half the fiberglass so it goes like this.. openair..fiberglass..light[also a little open air]...

    currently my temps are this

Hot side: 89.2 with 50% humidity
Cool side: 81.7 with 49% humidity

Again this is on the lowest possible setting and if I shut it off it will just drop pretty rapidly, Maybe take the entire fiberglass off and deal with it like that? My room is REALLY hot because I also have a leo tank [fine temps and humidity there] If I open the window it sort of really sucks everything out..

    any advice?

Are you using a UTH for the warm side, or just the light?

Dude, those temps and humidity are bang on! However you're doing the plexi on the top sure seems to be working!! Keep up the good work; learning to climb the learning curve seems easy for you!! :P
D'oh, wait a minute...do you only heat by the light? Yowzer!! How bout a small sized UTH or RHP???

If your only using a light, what do you do to keep the day/night cycle?

Sort of a ghetto way, I wake up at 8am usually, switch the bulb to the day one, around 8 or 9pm switch it back to the night one

haha it works, I want to get a timer thing but it seems so confusing

well as long as your consistent then it doesn't really matter. I have my bp in my room and I can't deal with the light at night which is why I use a CHE but apparently everyone likes to bash users of that set up. I also use a UTH on the warm side but he never goes to that side ha.

It's a ceramic heat emitter!!! They don't give off light, just heat~ but in a tank they zap your humidity!

Dude~ you weren't bashed! Having humidity problems usually comes with tanks and CHE's! It all fine, posters just told you to can the CHE! It was reasonable advice given the humidity issues.... Have you looked into a RHP?
