    anyone have any experience with a western hognose? I saw one today and have decided thats going to be my next snake, still a ways down the road.
    well, after my new leucistic texas black rat snake, that is. I get to pick him up Monday

    They are neat little snakes. I used to have one a couple years back that I adopted from a guy who was keeping him in a plastic cup (!). I had a lot of trouble getting him to eat (I'm pretty sure he was wild caught, however.) When I worked at Petco I cared for one for a bit and he ate with no problems. I love their little cobra imitations! Plus they always look like they are smiling. Just all around cool little guys.
