    Feeding Schedule
This has probably been addressed many times... But it seems as if my bp-George is always hungry... or maybe that the way it seems.
I just fed George Tues, an adult sized mouse. Last time he was weighed, back in Dec he was 220grams. I am waiting for my scale to come in, so I can weigh him. George eats about every 4-6 days. Is that to much, too early? Can you over feed a bp?
Also George is very active, he hides alot(sleeps/rest) but most of his time he is out & about. He loves the camera, wish I had a better one.* Now he was sick back in the begging of Dec when I got him, he had URI, he ate once for me, then I gave him his antibiotics for 2 weeks, since getting better, he is active, eats with no problems... I am up for any suggestions, help... Thank you in advance.

All of my ball pythons eat once every 7 days and are all eating adult mice around the 20-27g mark. So prey size seems fine to me but as for the time between feedings, I'm going to let someone else answer that one.

I see the place where mtxsub7 says he looks a little chubby. But in other places in that pic and the second one, it looks to me like the backbone is protruding just slightly... giving a triangular shape.

I think that eating too often is not good for snakes, something about how their digestive system works and it needing a rest. So if your snake does need more food, you might be better off giving 2 mice every 7 days.

But I'm with the others who have said wait for the experts to chime in...

    Re: Feeding Schedule
My BP eats twice a week and he's about 4.5 months old now. Gets one full sized mouse on Mondays and one "fuzzy" on Friday nights. He'd eat more if I'd let him, but I try to keep it reasonable. As he grows and gets older I'll cycle his feeding to once a week.

As far as your schedule goes feed it what it will eat without overfeeding it. If it's getting fat you're over feeding. If it's scrawny you're underfeeding. I don't like any huge bulges in my snakes. When they're done eating they should be full, not bloated and fat.

A ball python that's alway out and about isn't happy it's stressed out.
