    Dumeril's Boa Het?
Ok I know about Dumeril's just a little bit. There is some woman advertising one on Craigslist and says it came from a breeder and it is a het. As far as I know, there aren't any morphs, are there? BF has wanted a Dumeril's since the first time he saw one so I thought about looking into it.

I haven't heard of anything yet. There are a few hypos out there but that's it. Does she say what it's het for?

She doesn't say, I emailed her asking about that and who the breeder was.

The only Dum's i found that were not normals was this ad.Its for a hypo Dum so unless this person is asking a high amount with PROOF of it being het then she is lost ;). http://market.kingsnake.com/detail.php?cat=62&de=566523

I saw those snakes at the San Jose expo and talked to the guy selling them.

What he's not telling you in the ad is that they were premies and most of the litter died. He said most were laid in a water bowl but I've bred dumerils and they're generally a largish baby, well able to navigate an average bowl.

I suspect that these, while pretty, may not be genetic.

"het for peach" is what she said. She is unsure of the breeder as she bought it from our local show. And it eats gerbils b/c thats what they breed. I think I will pass, if for the eating gerbils alone.

Most if not all Dums have peach highlights to some extent. Some have more then others, and I know some people are selectively breeding for more peach, but it's certainly not a simple recessive gene that one could be 'het' for.

That's what I thought. I have seen some that the peach/rose color was brilliant, others who were much more shades of grey.
