I recently started using www.hare-today.com The shipping is very reasonable and the cleanliness of the animals and customer service is great.

Find someone local who breeds show rabbits. We easily go thru about 200 pounds of rabbit a month and found a man who raises and breeds show rabbits and the rabbits that don't meet standards he sells to us. He never runs out and is glad he has found a way to make some money off them. We get all sizes from rabbit kits to the larger rabbits.

Hi T, you wouldn't happen to have a listing of local meat rabbit breeders nationwide would you, or know if the breeder you are using knows anyone in the New England are?

Hey Dan-I thought that was you. I'll ask our breeder if he can get me some names. Check the phonebook for rabbit breeders and also check online at the www.arba.com (american rabbits breeders association).

I finally found a local-enough feed store that carries live rabbits, $8 each. Definitely beats paying frozen bunbun shipping prices...=P

I'd suggest calling every feed store and maybe local pet store in 30-45 minute radius, as well as check if there are any rabbiteries, see if any of them carry cheap buns.
