    Stuck Shed???
Hi I have a male albino het named Hulk, he is having some problems shedding, he has been trying to shed this layer for over a month now. The shedding has peeled away from his face and eyes.

This is what Ive done so far,
    1. Covered the screen top about 3/4 of the way with plastic wrap.
    2. Gave the snake a bath and let him soak for a while, Ive done this about 3 times.
    3. Sprayed him with an all natural shed eeze.
    4. since the skin has been on there for so long Ive tried to help him shed and the skin is stuck very bad.

He has become very cranky and will strike at just about any movment around his tank.

What can I do to help this poor guy out?

Get a small plastic tub with a lid that will hold water, put about an inch of lukewarm water in, as well as some paper towels to make it soppy and add some friction. Put the snake in the tub, put the lid on, put the whole thing on the warm side of the snake's enclosure, and leave it alone for an hour. This creates a nice snake sauna and the skin should be fully off. If not, wait a day and do that again. Letting him slither through a warm wet rough towel will help too.

Do I need to make any holes in the container for air?

I don't think so. It's only for an hour. If it has been stuck for a month it might take more than 2-3 attempts. Try the plastic tub trick above, keep the snake in for an hour, then stick him in a damp pillowcase. Make sure to tie the end and then put the pillowcase in the tank for another hour. Do it again the next day until everything comes off. If he's nippy put him in the pillowcase and use that grab him (not too hard tho) and let him slither through your grip within the pillowcase.

Also, once everything is off MAKE SURE to leave him alone for few days. That process along with the stuck shed creates a lot of stress.
