Latest Update on the rescued pastel!
WONDERFUL progress for the little guy!!:fest2::fest::pinkele:

As most of you may know, my little pastel has been eating like a pig every 5 days, but there was no waste passed.... until today! Came home to find a wonderful shed (that he snuck in on me, the little bugger!) with only one torn part around the injury site and two pieces of nice sized poo!
Hooray, now I don't have to give him up to someone with 'more experience'!

Updated pix will follow after I've taken some tonight before he's fed as I weigh him. :D

Most recent picture of "Little Guy" (he needs a name now that I know he can fully function)

Probe from an Acurite thermometer (how I make sure his feeding tub is the right temp) to give size comp. Pic taken right after a nice meal before I put him back in his home tank...hence the lump. :) Don't worry, no flash was used. Compared to how he looked when I first got him:

:D:D:D And he's 68g empty weight as of tonight before feeding, up from 44g on 12/31. He's now on hoppers and eating every 5-6 days.

44 grams? Wowsers that's tiny! Glad all is working out and his "pipes" are all in order.

My little female weighed about that when I first got her. Less than 50 grams. It was sad.

That was in september. She's now up to 300 grams and eating like clockwork every 7 days. On rat pups.

Your doing a good job! That looks like a nice lump in his tummy.

    Congrats on making progress!

How old is the Little Guy and about how long? Mine doesn't look to be too much longer but weights quite a bit more. Maybe she is not as underweight as I thought she was.

Thanks. And thanks to everyone else for the kind words.:)

He's SUPPOSEDLY around 4-5 months old now. This is based on the knowledge that the store he originally came from sells their little BPs around 2 months old, and the guy brought him back in that state a month or so later. Now I've had him almost two months. So sadly, I can't be entirely sure how old he is, but it's not much.
As for how long...not sure on that either since he doesn't like stretching out straight. However, his new shed measured about 21" so he's around 17" or so if you go by the -4" on the shed rule.
