    paint fumes
ok..I'm guessing this is a stupid question, but I really have to paint my daughter's bedroom and our precious bp, Dakota, lives in there. Are the fumes harmful? Do I have to move him to another room? Given that she's away in college - it's the quietest room in the house. I'm not sure how Dakota will feel about a move out of that room. In fact, it's really Dakota's room.....

Yes, it's harmful....if you cover the tank tonight and move it when you're ready to paint...he may not pay much mind at all

that's a good plan. I could just keep the sides covered during his vacation in another room and he might not notice the activity so much - light, movement, etc. How long do you think one has to wait until he moves back in? Until the actual project is complete or all trace of new paint is gone?

I would wait till all the smell is gone....remember that the snake has heat on him and the fumes will be stronger for him

I waited three weeks after putting up a painted border...lol....but then again, I kinda liked having them all over the house...:D
