Where to get an ultrasound machine?
Anyone know where I could look for a used ultrasound machine that would be good for using on ball pythons(if anyone knows, what kind would that be?) and how much they might go for? Thanks for any help! :D
Re: Where to get an ultrasound machine?
You're looking at several thousand dollars. :-P
Re: Where to get an ultrasound machine?
lol save your money until/if you hit the big leagues
Re: Where to get an ultrasound machine?
Money's not really a thing...I plan to go to vet school in the near future, hopefully next summer... this is just fun to me..if anything it would be good experience...more than 5 grand?
Re: Where to get an ultrasound machine?
I've seen old ones run 2kish, up to 10k.
If you are going to vet school anyway...the university will definitely have some.
Re: Where to get an ultrasound machine?
Maybe look on Ebay. Or you could contact a distributor for availability on refurbished models. A used one could still run you a few grand.
Re: Where to get an ultrasound machine?
A few grand isn't terrible...It's not something I'm going to run out and buy but if I can throw a little money aside here and there, it'll be fun to play with and good for experience..Just something to look into...And slartibartfast...I dont wanna wait that longgg!:taz: lol! Just something to look into!
Re: Where to get an ultrasound machine?
there is alot of them on ebay from no reserve upto about 8k or so it might be worth a look there. i thought about getting one it would be a cool thing to tinker with around here
Re: Where to get an ultrasound machine?
I think you can rent one. I have a friend who ran a business renting devices like that out to hospitals and such. I use to sit down at her office hooked up to a pulse oximeter for no real reason. I guess it was just fun to sit there with little electrical devices that cost hundreds of dollars.
Although I don't know if you have to be a hospital or work for one to rent them.
