    General carpet questions
I've been looking online about carpets as I want to get one when I go to my next expo (if I find one I like). Now I'm a little confused about the breeding, etc. of these snakes. I understand that in the wild there are Jungles, Coastals, Irian Jayas, and maybe more. But in general I don't see those sold online purely. I see stuff like "Jungle Jag" and "Diamond Jag". What is the deal with these guys and how do people usually breed them? What should I look for if I'm going to a reptile expo?:confused:

jags are a morph (see my red phase jag in my avatar and pictures) the others are subspecies... part of the morelia spilota complex.
there are many different phases, breeding lines, and morphs of each and many types of carpets are intergrades between two or more subspecies.

I will go with what has already been mentioned. Jags are a coastal carpet morph that has been cross bred to everything. Hence; jungle jag, diamond jag, jaya jag, etc.

There are some of us out here still producing pure forms of carpets, we are just a growing minority. LOL!
I guess you really need to determine if you are looking for pure stock are cross-bred stock.

    I sent you a PM. ;)
