    Anyone else sick?
    Hey All,

I haven't been around in the last week because after graduating on the 25th I got sick as a dog. Been tired, coughing, and cranky just trying to make it through the days at work. Seems like there is an epidemic here as all the people in my wing sound like a Ricola commercial. Just wondering if anyone else is feeling under the weather? I never ever get sick and this just sucks... hope to be back posting soon... C yall later!

There's a nasty flu going around here too. It seems to kick your butt for about a week, with a nasty cough. Currently, I'm sleep deprived since both my husband and my daughter have come down with it. Fortunately, my son and I have managed to avoid the plague but I wonder how long that can continue.

I hope you feel better soon Rich, and congrats again on graduating. Drink lots of fluids and get plenty of rest. (sorry as a mom I have to say that ;) )

    Thanks Christie,

I left work early and went to the doctor. They shoved a swab up my nostril and told me I had the flu :(

I just wish my body would decide whether it is hot or cold...

It's a rotten virus Rich. I had it basically from Thanksgiving to last week and I was about wiped out. Every time I'd shake it, I'd jump back into life, do too much, end up with a bunch of kids sneezing near me and whammo...I was sick again. It was the worst couple of months of my life let me tell you.

I really recommend Zicam multi-symptom. It tastes nasty but it was what finally kicked it out of me or at least gave me enough of a break from the symptoms to start to naturally heal. My hubby swears by the Zicam preventative stuff. You take it when you feel the first indicator of an oncoming cold (follow box directions). He's pushed a cold back twice in the past week or so using the stuff.

Thanks for the tip Jo, I'll look into the Zicam. Sorta sounds like Airborne which also tastes nasty. The doctor gave me a pill called Tamiflu; which is supposed to speed up the recovery process so we'll see how it goes.

I am just getting over a whopper. I had a really had congestion/sinus nightmare going on. The congestion was so bad, I could not sleep at night; I'd wake up gasping. Now I have a chronic bloody nose from the stupid space heater in our bedroom. It dries my nose so much, I whistle when I breathe, waking myself up. I think that we'll brave the 65-degree temps in there instead of heating it, because I can't stand it anymore.. no heating vent in the bedroom of all places.. gah. I hope that you guys/ladies feel better soon who are sick.
