    Washing females
Just a simple question, once your female has laid her clutch your suppose to wash her to get the eggs 'scent' off her, is there a particular solution you use , mild soap & water, A water and alcohol mix (70/30)...or does just plain water do the trick.

    thanks

I've heard a few drops of dish soap in warm water will do the trick.

I use a wet cloth with some Dawn on it, wipe them down, then rinse them off.

    Something with scent...

Mild soap mixture or a mild cholohex solution is what I use.

Gets the smell of eggs off them, so they realize the eggs are gone and they can start eating again! the "egg smell" is not something you'll be able to smell, but they can... :)

I put a good amount of hand soap in my hands and run it down the body, focusing on the belly and bottom jaw. Quick rinse and your done.

If the female doesn't start eating within a week, I'll wash them again and usually that does the trick!
