Who else is sick?
Yuck. I am sicker than a dog that got into the medicine cabinet today :tears: I went into work and didn't even last an hour before my sneezing, congestion, and sinusitis drove me home.
Any co-miserators out there? I currently have a fever, shakes, aches, sore throat, nose drippage, and the inability to sleep due to clogged nostrils. Then I breathe out of my mouth, and my lips get all dry and parched. And NyQuil barely helped me last night!
Woe is me!

Re: Who else is sick?
I'm right there with you. I've had all the same symptoms off and on since the last week of November. Over Christmas it progressed to a sinus infection, double ear infection and went into my chest too. I was damn sexy in the Christmas pics, let me tell you. I get better but not all the way and then end up on my ass again. Plus, my kids keep getting sick and passing new germies on to me, the little darlings.
I find that if I put Vicks liquid in my humifier at night it helps open me up enough to sleep. I take Nyquil too or Neo Citrin to knock me out. I can totally sympathize on the work thing too. I stayed home Monday and Tuesday and worked the rest of the week looking and feeling like I was hit by a large bag of rocks. :( Feel better!

Re: Who else is sick?
I feel better now but two weeks ago I was really sick I coughed all night and couldnt sleep. And I ran a 104 temp for a week, and fever medicine only brought it down to 101 and then shortly after it jump up to 104. I hope you fel better soon.:)

Re: Who else is sick?
Thanks everyone! I am going to have to try the Vicks in my humidifier. I had a vaporizer in my room as a kid when I was sick; this would be similar I guess? The one I have now, evds up running dry by morning, our bedroom is so dry! (Go figure; it's the only room without a heating vent, and thus we have a fan-style space heater on at night.. dry as a desert.)
It is the blasted weather/wind too that is aggrevating things. The wind is just unreasonably hard and relentless this winter. I go out to clear my Jeep off of snow, and it is literally like I feel my bones freezing inside my skin!

Re: Who else is sick?
That sound work the same way. You can buy the Vicks stuff for it in that same area as the Vicks chest rub. I love it. I had an awful chest cold with my last pregnancy and I hovered over that thing breathing the steam for days to get some relief.

Re: Who else is sick?
What I do:
Humidifier, Advil, Meds with guaifenesin(sp?), pseudoephedrine and dextromethorphan(if coughing), chlorpheniramine if not coughing, and go to bed :)
Works great!

I'm about to get sick, since the kid I tutor sneezed all over my face :(

Re: Who else is sick?
I work alone, and don't have any kids = never sick!
When I do work in office buildings I tend to catch whatever is going around....that sucks bigtime!
