Trick and Traid ready for sexing...maybe?
Ok everyone.. tonight after class I think im going to try and take some pics of the kids... i really need to know if i have at least one female or not so i can trade them for a female if they both turn out to be boys. Hallo is definetly getting some size on him (aug hatch) and Trick and Traid are too finally growing a bit more.. they are sucking down the CGD like its water and eating crickets really well too!

If I have time between work and school i will post them sooner but do you think its possible to sex them now? they are about three months old now

I would say Trick is a girl and Traid is a boy.

The little dark spots within the scales are pre-anal pores, and yes, they only appear in boys.

It looks to me like Traid has them and Trick doesn't... but they're still really small. It's just a guess on my part...

thank you for the input though!!! We will see :) both of them are going to stick around until i know for sure but i do know i want at least one female for sure.. especially if hallo is a boy. Im not going to breed a brother to a sister :gj: i would like to get a nice harlequin marking to make up for their bland markings

it doesnt help the photos arent the best ive taken either.. my hand was more shakey than usual

i really need to see a bit higher up on trick to be able to tell for sure. there are no visible pores in the photo, but i need to see more to be sure. i don't see pores on traid but if you can get a photo like the one of hallo of traid (both of them really) it would be mucho helpful.

and yes, the pores are the dark spots in the center of the pre-anal scales.

and just fyi--3 months old and 3 grams is really borderline for being able to tell, especially via photos and not in person...
