Boas are sucking me in!

I have always liked balls and colubrids but recently after seeing some of the morphs that boas throw I all i can say is WOW. I saw a lipstick line sunglow at a show and I had to stop and stare at that thing for a while before I could move on. Even the Albinos rock! Its only a matter of time before i decide to get one lol.

they are relly easy to keep. i think they are maby the same level as balls. they also seem to be much more active. balls liketo just sit in there hides all day but boas seem to wander around. the only problem is they take up a bit more space.

I took have been curious about boas, I always thought about gettin into Hoggs since they are smaller....anyone know of a site that describes the various designer morphs out there?

I myself am fond of the super-jungle :D

Boas have a lovely way of pulling you into their world. I started out in BPs. Now I'm in boas... and, beyond having a BP for a pet, I haven't looked back once! :D

I just got my first Boa. They are incredible. I love him, and now I have my husband talking about possibly breeding them. Which is fairly unusual lol.

They do seem a little more intelligent for lack of better word than balls. The one thing is the size though, maybe a hog or saboga boa would be better. I have a rainbow and he is awesome.

Boas are great! Charlie was my first love. He was a 6' foot BC that I cared for when I worked at a nature center. He was used in kids educational programs and had an awesome personality! Even after I moved on from the job I would get Charlie updates. lol. He lived to be 25.

unless you're going to breed, I wouldn't consider sabogae, they're expensive and few and far between.
Central american boas, such as nics, mexicans tarahumara's are good, as are insular races such as cay caulker, corn island, hogs, crawl cay, etc. Some are less common in captivity, and therefore more expensive, but your typical central american no locality noted boa is small and fairly commonly for sale.
