What the heck happened here?
This is not my snake. I just stumbled across the picture, and wondered if anyone here had ever seen it. Did the genes get confused lol? Very unique to say the least.

Re: What the heck happened here?
Is that real? Could be photoshopped
Re: What the heck happened here?
Yeah, It's a paradox albino. Not the prettiest bp morph but it's cool.
Re: What the heck happened here?
Paradox albino. It is thought to happen when the gene that causes albinosim isn't fully expressed in all the skin cells,
Re: What the heck happened here?
not a fan of the paradox but they are interesting to look at...
Re: What the heck happened here?
LadyOhh posted this once (here or on Fauna)

Forgot what it's called...
Re: What the heck happened here?
Yeah definitely not the most beautiful morph out there, but different.
That explains it though.
Anyone know if it happens often? Do people keep them and breed them?
Re: What the heck happened here?
Here is the best part not all Paradox's are Homozygous for the gene. A paradox can actulity be a het. So even though that animal looks like an albino with black on it in may be a het that had a different issue. Some paradox's are hets and show the partial visual skin mutation. This happens when the incomplete dominate gene we call normal fails to supress the recessive gene of ablinoism. So think of it like a het with a preview.
Re: What the heck happened here?
I actually like them.
So far, as I understand it, not proven genetic?
