These pics really suck, because the rats move so darn fast! they are my females. Three of them. The self female has a white almost arrowhead shaped stomach..is she still a self?

I am going to have the breeding/female tub on top, with Cass's tub and then maybe another female/breeder tub and then a grower/feeder tub! It is perfect for my colony, I jsut wish you could find snake racks like that...lol.

you are going to want two grow tubs. one for males one for females :)

but i only have one breeding pair right now. 15 babys first shot :O

As for the "self" one. It's not a Self if it has any other markings, it must be one uniform color to be called a Self. It's likely from what you are describing an English Irish. Check out the pic in this link and see if that's what her markings are (great site for all sorts of info other than markings).

Remember to seperate your feeders at 5 weeks of age or before when they are weaned. You don't want rats that should be eating and growing into nice feeders to be wasting their energy trying to mate with their siblings.

The thing is is that her triangle covers alot of her bellie. And those ones triangles are only a little spot.

Ahhh well then maybe she's a Berkie. Check out this link with pics of various Berkshire marked rats. Does she have the white feet that Berkie's have (I couldn't tell clearly from the pics).
