Nature's Spirit Incubator
Well, I found someone local who is looking to sell their Natures Sprit incubator for an awesome price and is someone I have dealt with before. Looks like all my income tax this year is going towards the snakes! Now if I could just find someone local selling racks as well :D
For those who have the NS incubator, what are the pros/cons on it?
Re: Nature's Spirit Incubator
I don't have one, but have known other who did. The only complaint any of them had was that they outgrew it as far as being able to hold a lot of clutches. But as far as its actual use; I've only heard great things about it.
Re: Nature's Spirit Incubator
I love mine. The only complaint would be the size, but I might even get a second one, rather than upgrading to a larger one(spread the ggs to two baskets).
Congrats.
Re: Nature's Spirit Incubator
I absolutely Love mine. Easy set-up and good visibility of the clutches without opening and closing the door. The false wall keeps the temps steady. I did find that putting something in front of the fan to create a little turbulence helped eliminate any hot spots. I also love the size because it is fairly unobtrusive, yet I also wish there where larger models of the same design. I think I'm going to have to invest in a second one this season. Overall, I don't think there is a better incubator out there for it's size and price. I had 100% hatch rate last season and credit the 'bator highly for that. :gj:
Hope it helps.
Cheers,
Kat
Re: Nature's Spirit Incubator
how many clutches of ball python eggs can you usually fit into this incubator. im shooping for a new one as well and have been thinking of this one.
Re: Nature's Spirit Incubator
NS Incubators.... flawless! :)
Re: Nature's Spirit Incubator
We've got four of them now, two larger ones and two of the normal size. I love them and find them to be well worth the money. Casey does an awesome job building them!!
Re: Nature's Spirit Incubator
I have a 100% hatch ratio using mine as well. Of course those statistics aren't nearly impressive when I say I've only had one clutch of eggs. :D
All in all I love mine. For someone like me who has no talent building things, it was PERFECT. The size would be a bit small for someone who had MANY clutches of eggs to incubate, but for a hobbiest like me it's great. I also use larger tubs to incubate, so will limited on how many tubs I can fit in there.
Re: Nature's Spirit Incubator
Ive got 3 of them so far and I absolutly love them!!
Re: Nature's Spirit Incubator
i have one and although I've not "used" it yet it has been running for the last month and Its never varied more than 2 degrees. also what size containers do you guys use with this incubator. the ones im using now I can only fit 5 clutches in. maybe i need something smaller. thanks JOHN
