    First BP Help
    Hello,

I just brought my first BP home yesterday and I am starting to get paranoid about temperature and humidity. I can't seem to get them up to the right levels of 40 - 50% and 90 degrees on the hot side, 80 - 85 degrees on the cold side. I have an Exo-Terra glass terrarium with foil on about 75% of the top screen, a medium sized UTH on the hot side, and a 50 watt red heat lamp on the cold side. The substrate is moss and it gets the odd mist. Will the front vent on the terrarium provide enough air flow if the entire top is covered? Should I scrap the heat lamp and add another heat mat instead?

    Thanks for your help.

I like heat mats much better personally.

Humidity is a tough one, but you can make a humid hide by taking a Tupperware with top, cut out a hole for the snake to crawl in, and let the floor be covered with damp paper towels.

    That works for me.

    Thanks,

I will try that and see if it fixes the humidity. Any suggestions on heating?
