    Chlorhexadine
Hey, I just got my Chlorhexadine from RBI yesterday.. I was going to mix some so I can use it in the next few days.. but theres no cleaning instructions on the bottle.. does anyone know how I should mix this and how to use it?

Also, I have rats/sugar gliders/arachnids.. would this be safe to use to clean any of their cages? Right now I'm using a bleach solution for all of my pets but I would like to switch to something else, and it would be easiest if Chlorhexadine would work with all of them.

Let me know if you know what I should do, thanks!

One ounce of concentrate per gallon of water is the mix amount. Also, as far as I know, this stuff is safe to use on the cage of just about anything, since you're supposed to wipe it dry before placing anything back inside. You can also use it on cage furniture as well. It's great stuff.

Mine says 2 tablespoons(1 ounce) per gallon of water. I go stronger, but thats just the I do it. My vet said they use different concentrations for different uses, like sterlizing surgical tools(stronger) or cleans wounds(most animals). I clean all my tubs and hides with it but still clean bowls for the most part with bleach. Hope this helps you:)

I have cleaned mold off eggs with it and egg survived(beardie). Yes you can clean everything with it.

Thanks a lot guys! I hate using bleach for the cages, I always feel like I can still smell it even though I rinse the bleach off well (I know its just my mind, but it still freaks me out)

My sugar gliders have a joey now too, so I'm trying not to use strong cleaners in my room/cages, I'm trying to stay away from bleach as much as possible.. but I understand still using it to clean water dishes, which I will do.

I also use more than 1 ounce. 1 ounce in a gallon looks like its just plain water.
