    Now he's staying on the warm side all the time?
    Before my new guy seemed to stay on the cool side. But the past few days he stays on the warm side. Do you think everything is all right?

    Temps right now....
    81.1 ambient
    94.3 warm hide
    43% humidity

    By the way...
    Both hides are identical.

    Just a little thermoregulation....

    Depending on when he last ate etc, he is controlling his body temperature which in turn controls his metabolism...

    Nothing wrong, thats what they do.

    Do you watch the snake 24/7 to be certain it is always on the warm side?

    Our reptiles do a lot of stuff when we are not watching. If your temperatures are correct than don't bother worrying yourself.

    Bump up the humidity slightly. It should be within the 50-60% region most of the time. And by saying Ambient, is that the ambient in the cool side? What about inside the hide?
