handling

I was told to wait atleast a week before I should handle or touch my new snake, is this true? Also, starting off whats the max i should handle it? thanks!

Yes it's a good idea to let them settle into their new home with as few interuptions as possible - some of them won't mind but as you will have him so long it's worth not taking the risk in case your lil fella does. :)

The best advice I can think of is to take his reactions as your guide.

I would try feeding him at the end of the week of peace and, if he doesn't eat and the husbandry is ok, I would give him another week as well. Once he is eating regularly then I would start handling a small amount but be ready to stop if he stops eating.

Going slow and letting him set the pace will hopefully get him started off in the right direction and pay dividends in the future.:gj:
