    I was wondering what you guy's thought about running my incubator's fan all the time? I was thinking about running it with the ranco, that way its not on all the time.:confused:

    When reading through the VPI book, I would think you want the fan on all the time, to keep your temps even throughout the incubator with no "hot spots". Circulating the air keeps all the temps even.

    That's just my thoughts, but it will be good to see what other more experienced members think.

    Thanks Robin it's my first time I want everything to be 100%. I'm going to be asking alot of questions the next couple month's.;)

    You will want your fan on 24/7.

    Circulation of air is key in this case.

    I put it at the top so the air circulates downward. Does it sound right?

    My fan is at the bottom of the false wall. Keeps steady circulation. Also helps if you put something in front of the fan for a little turbulence (reduces hot spots). And I agree with the above, you want it on 24/7.

    I used a fan from a condenser off an icemaker. I'll post pic's now
