    ball python feeding/heating issues
hi.i've had my ball python (monty) forover a year now.can someone please advise me if i've got my setup correct.i'm using a spotlight with a heating mat in a wooden vivarium.my temperature is 30 degrees. am i doing the correct thing in putting the heatmat inside the cage?.i put it on the floor and i use aspen shavings as my substrate.is it normal for a heat mat to get quite hot? as for feeding he has not fed for 4 week now.it's the longest he's gone without eating since i got him.any tips on how to get him feeding again?
    thanks
