Re: hiding the past 3 days
As long as his husbandry is good, it could very well be that he's comfortable and sees no need to leave his hide and wander around.
have you changed anything in his environment lately? Mine tend to hide most of the time when they're comfortable which is why they're in tubs now.
Re: hiding the past 3 days
i put him in a 20 gallon long last week but he was still the same allways out at night.i think he might be in the early stages of a shed cuz last time he hid alot too but im not sure if they shed that often i though i was every 3 months?im still i little scared of him even though he comes out everyday exept after feeding so i dont like picking him up he alway crawls out on my hand by himself
Re: hiding the past 3 days
If he is very active then there is a big possibility your husbandry is wrong. MOST Bp's spend all day hiding. Nothing unusual. If you are sure your husbandry is correct then possibly you have a very active snake.
Re: hiding the past 3 days
He might just be an active snake, as Jeff posted. My bp is active and husbandry is correct, but he'll end up hiding and not be active day or night when he's about to shed, just before, during, and a bit after.
It could be that your little one is ready to shed, as you said it's about time.
Re: hiding the past 3 days
Yeah my pastel is ALWAYS out at night without fail, but my others are content to stay in their hides.
Re: hiding the past 3 days

Roughly. There's no real set time limit for them to shed.
Re: hiding the past 3 days
cool thats probably what it is then. i just took the top of the tank and he didnt come out and when i touched him he didnt seem to like it which is the exact opposite of his normal behavior
