    Guardian horse bedding?
Has anybody ever tried this bedding out for rodents? The feed store stopped selling woody pet, they claim this guardian stuff is better!

WOW that stuff looks awesome, especially for bedding horses! Would you actually use it by getting it wet to cause expanding or just the pellets? I use yesterdays news for my rats but im always open to trying new produts for sure!

Yes, leave it in pellet form. You definitely dont want inches of sawdust in their enclosure! Dust city! Haha, they would try to burrow in it.

It looks like a great product and something to try out. Equine fresh is what I use. Some say it's too dusty when broken down, but I prefer it over yesterday's news or cellsorb for odor control. And I don't like aspen, it's stinky when peed on (I think it is anyways) and it's just so dusty. I give my pregger girls a handful to nest in, it keeps the broken down sawdust from the pellets sticking to the pinks. Havent lost any pinks yet! (dont wanna jinx myself)

I use it just like I would Woody Pet. Put down just enough to cover the bottom, then I add a bit of Carefresh to the top for them to nest in. Keeps the smell down ALOT. It does convert to sawdust when wet- which can be fun if someone chews a hole in the water bottle

I use the exact same stuff! And so far its great, no noticable smell at all. I just put like 1/4 inch thick in my tub and threw in a sock and it works great
