    Question about Mites...
I have had George for 4 weeks now, I just noticed the other day, he had 2 small mites on him. Should I treat his enclosure with PAM for precaution?
    thank you in advance...

Yes, treat his cage, any furniture in the cage, and most likely the surrounding area of the cage. Make sure to get the lip of the cage well, as mites crawl, and that will be the only way in. Good luck, I hope it takes care of the problem.

Also, follow the directions exactly on the can. Do not use PAM on your snake.

When you say pam i hope you mean a mite solution and not the cooking solution.:rolleye2: I would, those two would of laid eggs already. if your not using newspaper, switch to it for a few weeks. that way its easier to clean and the mites can be seen if theres more. good luck.:gj:

Yes, get PAM for sure! I wasted a whole month trying to use reptile relief.. the mites kept coming back! But I sprayed my cage a week and a half ago and I haven't seen a mite since.

    Re: Question about Mites...
Every new snake that comes into my house goes into a tub that has been pretreated with PAM. This way I have very little to worry about with infesting my collection. While they are in quarantine (or at least for the first 30 days), they stay in the tub that has been treated. By doing this, I have not had a mite problem for many years.

I wouldn't be without a can of PAM in my house these days!

It's always best to pretreat any tub with PAM. Anyone new that comes into my collection gets plopped in a PAM treated tub, also, every month I PAM every single one of my tubs on cleaning day just as a precaution. I had mites once quite awhile ago and never ever ever ever want to do that again.
