    Heating woes
My current tank has a wooden top, so the only way I could heat it was to put UTH. Unfortunetly this did not go well, the temps were sitting in the mid 70's.

Today i cut a whole in the wood and placed my heat lamp through it.

I made an error in that i did not have and metal mesh to cover the whole with (So that the snake did not come in direct contact with the ceramic heater.

So I ended up wrapping the heater in aluminum foil, and poiking holes in it.

Is this safe? Will the Aluminium foil give off any poisonous fumes?

I am picking up mesh tommorow, but the is my temporary solution
