Re: What Do I Do With Him?
Did you check to see if the store will take him back? Some will. (But some won't...I've struggled with that, myself.)
Do you know anyone else local to you that keeps snakes? Maybe they'd appreciate a free feeder? Other than that...set it up in its own little cage and see if your snake will eat it next week. You may have to euthanize it yourself if you don't want to keep it...the snake won't eat it...and you can't find another home/use for it.
Maybe a rescue center for either reptiles or birds of prey in your area would be appreciative of a free rat?
Re: What Do I Do With Him?
i keep a extra cage just for my feeders. if she dont wanna eat back in the cage it goes to get fattened up more
Re: What Do I Do With Him?
Yup, put him in an enclosure of his own and re-offer him next week.
Re: What Do I Do With Him?
Euthanize it then try F/T next week.

What if his snake will not eat frozen thawed then what ? I say just setup a cage for it until next feeding time ;)
Re: What Do I Do With Him?
Why can't you put him in with the pets? I have plenty of just weaned rats in with adults.

Couple of reasons I would think....
1) it's a pet store rat and who knows if it's carrying anything, so why expose his established pet rats to that risk
2) his pet rats are females by what his post says and this feeders is a male rat, so I would expect this person doesn't want his pet rats bred by this male
Re: What Do I Do With Him?
I didn't think of that. I guess I don't keep "pet" rats anymore. Just keep him alone for a week. He'll be fine
