Re: How small is too small?
88g, isnt that like out of egg weight?
Re: How small is too small?
88 grams could be spot on depending on the hatch date and how many feeds it has taken.
Re: How small is too small?
well i know its ate 1 small mouse for me, i just dont want to get it goin with feeding so bad. the guy at petsmart told me that he ate good for him every week. and they had it for a few weeks. so idk what to do. i guess play the waiting game. but i know that im never buying from petsmart again. its gotta be a little thin tho because it looks and feels nothing like my fatty girl i have.

I'd take him to the vet and get a fecal done. Next time the male has a bowel movement put it in a pastic baggie and stick it in the fridge. Make an appointment for the vet and take the sample with you. It can only last in the fridge for 24 maybe 48 hours. So you gotta get into the vet quick. If he's eating and not gaining weight it could be parasites.
Best of luck, keep us updated.
Re: How small is too small?
Another "I bought him from the pet store" sad story:(
Re: How small is too small?
oh boy, you really think he could have patasites? i did move him from tank to tank quite a bit, first it was 20 gallon, then 32 qt. then 12 qt. he is very active around the cage after i put him back in it. and sometimes a see him wondering around.

If he's eaten several meals and not gaining weight it could be parasites. I am not a herp vet though. I wouldn't be surprised though.
Re: How small is too small?
How long have you had him?
Re: How small is too small?
Kaa, have you done everything we've discussed? It may be time to try a live mouse, and cut right to the chase. No handling until he eats.
prescenting, late at night, no disruptions, live mouse.
