my bp wont eat, and she is probably about to shed, is it alright if i try to feed her fruits and/or vegetables to get her to eat? or maybe some raw chicken brest?:confused:

No WAY!! If you plan on keeping a snake you need to start researching there housing and feeding needs. If you are only 13 your parents also need to get involved with this for the sake of your new pet.

please don't, we replied to your other post. It's fine not to feed when they are in shed, just wait till she is done shedding and feed as normal. Also make sure her temps and humidity are right

i know, i am working on the research. when i wanted a snake, i planned on getting a corn, so i did ALL my research on corns, then on my b-day my mom and grandmother surprised me with a bp and i had no research on them. so i dont know this stuff. ty for saving my snakes life by the way :banana:

Snakes don't eat fruits and veggies. Just let her shed then try a MOUSE again.

yeah, that care sheet is great..
remember "60%-70% during a shed cycle"
so more than the 50% they normally require.. and if you get any problems with stuck sheds make sure you ask what to do! or look it up.
good luck with your BP, just wait until after the shed and it should be fine.

Those temps are needed all the time not just when in shed. The only thing you should be adjusting is the humidity when she is in shed.

This was my son's question and I'm sorry for him to repeat himself. He was in a bit of a goofy mood when he posted this so please forgive him. For now on, he needs to clear his posts with me before asking any more questions.

Thank you for your concern! I am very much involved in the care of the bp even though I refuse to hold her.....I'm just too scared. Before he can do anything, he has to clear it with me first. And, should there be a problem, there is a lock on the tank which I can very easily take the key for. Have no fear, the snake is not in any danger!
