When I cover the 3 sides of my glass tank does the color matter?
    Can I use white?
    Or should I use black?

No it really isn't important what color it is there to make the animal feel more secure.

As long as it's solid (meaning no light will filter through it), any color you use should be fine. I personally would shy away from white, mostly because it reflects light and could be a bit glaring.

It must be purple - royal purple. That's their favorite color, being Royal Pythons and all. :P

Heh, cool. Purple would look nice. :) I use forest green...literally. I have scrapbooking paper with an evergreen forest for the back and deep green solid for the sides. :D
