does anyone know of a good way to increase temperatures in my bp's tank? it's dropped way too low today and I thought about insulating it with something but I don't know what. if anyone has any better suggestions it would be great.

You can probably get sheets of styrofoam and cut it to fit the sides of your tank. I'd put it around three sides. If you can't find styrofoam, cardboard would work too, but maybe not as well. A little space heater in the room with the snakes works wonders.

My husband used 1" insulation on two sides (three sides would be even better). It is real insulation foam from a home improvement store. It worked wonders! And yes, bringing the room temp up more helps, too. If you want to save money, put the snake in a smaller room and just increase the room temp there, not all over the house.

    Good luck!

My snake racks were packed with sheets of heavy hard foam. They are perfect to use.
Most hardware stores also carry sheets of foam board. You can not only tape it on three sides, but pick the tank up, and put a sheet under it too.
