    Rack and snake pics :)~
Here is a pic of our subadult/adult rack, and its contents. I use ZooMed UTHs on rheostats which have served me well, but I am upgrading to Flexwatt in January. The mats are a bit thick and make it a bit tough to slide tubs in/out.
The lamp atop the rack is just for viewing and cleaning purposes.

Tub 1: Bela. Digesting a rat from yesterday :) (there is water in her dish.)

    Tub 2: Godiva. Chubby lady.

Tub 3: Ginger and SoCo locked up.

Tub 4: vacant. SoCo's usual tub.

Tub 5: Luna. Growing more everytime I look at her, it seems; thanks Cue! She finally shed, so it's time to dehumidift her tub a bit.

    Tub 7: Gunther.

Only the top shelf sags. I admit to that.. but I plan on making a spine for the back to secure it more. Poop.. should have done that to begin with... I like the sideways structure but saggy racks are not a lady's best friend..!

    Those are some beautiful animals!!

Where might I ask you did you get the rack? Is it a kit or did you build it yourself.. I want to get a short horizontal rack for the snakes but have spaces big enough to have the cresties on teh same shelf..

My husband and I built it a little over a year ago. We are actually planning on building another soon (gee, I wonder why that'd be necessary? lol..) I posted awhile ago w/ pics of us building it; we had the melamine cut at Home Depot but I am not sure if they still cut it for you at all of their stores. Lowes today did not even have melamine sheets.
I would Highly recommend using a "spine" up the back, to prevent sagging later though. We plan on adding one. Best thing I could recommend is, find the tubs that you want to use, and build around them. I allowed for 2 inches or so, extra, on each side of each tub for every shelf. Then we put the floor of the bottom tub so that the sides hung down and were the "feet" of the rack; then put the bottom tub on that shelf, and measured the height for the top of the bottom tub which is the platform for the second-last tub, and repeated till it was assembled!

I would also recommend, in hindsight, putting "caster" wheels on the bottom for easier moving. This thing is a PAIN to move!!

    Thanks, and thanks Joe also!

SoCo is now locked up with Bela, after a brief hiatus including a meal and a day and a half off to digest.
