    Feeder question
Currently I have 4 ball pythons. All are under 200g but are all above 150g. They all eat mice that are around 16-20g. They each get one mouse every 7 days. Should I be feeding anything larger? Or if the feeders are too small, feed more at a time?

Just wondering because I want my ball pythons to be eating what they need to be eating (size wise or quantity wise). I don't want to switch over to rats as I am trying to get a mouse colony up and running.

For me getting them switched over to rats sooner is easier. Than when they are older, if you can get them all over to rats start a rat colony instead. All of mine take rats now, I do have a few breeding groups of mice. I keep them around for the babies. I have noticed that my mice stink alot worse than the rats do. I have had a few that were mouse eaters for along time. Once I got them over to rats the seamed to do alot better. Put on more weight. Didnt have to feed 3 or 4 mice in one feeding. For me rats are better and again to me they dont stink as bad as mice do.

Rats are a no because a colony would take up too much room. I'm actually taking my two female rats that I was going to raise up and breed back to the store today and try and get another breeding group of mice.

At that size I feed one adult mouse 20-25 grams and I usually start offering a second mouse when my BP reach 500 grams, if that help.

Yep, don't know if it means as much from me, but I offer my girl one adult mouse a week as well and shes a little over 200g. I was giving her jumbos, but I think the extra food caught up with her, so I'll be bumping back to adult mice.

I'll be weighing the snakes today so I'll get updated weights. The petstore gave us smaller mice today, probably because its the end of the week and they are running low on feeders.
