    My first corn
Hello all. I occasionally lurk in the BP sections but this is my first visit to the colubrids. I was at petco and saw the little guy in the picture. Had to buy him. He is very friendly. Doesn't mind handling at all. I did wait the customary week to let him get acclimated. Have him in a tank with uth and a night light. Gotta get a few more items for temp/humidity control but he seems happy so far ;)

Cute little snow, my only comment would be to try and feed the little cutey outside the tank. You don't want it ingesting any of that substrate, unless it's a finicky eater they'll eat pretty much anywhere if they're hungry :P

Thanks for the info on feeding it outside the tank. I have some small plastic containers that I used to use to hold mice before I switched my BP to f/t. I will try feeding it in one of those. They should be plenty big enough for now. =)

How do corns ever survive in the wild eating outside with grass sticks, leaves, and swallowing bones!?

Their digestive systems are designed to solid matter, I think it'll be okay if it does happen to swallow a little aspen.

Whatever works for you guys, I just know plenty of people who've had impacted corns.
Plus it gives you time to spot clean and do whatever else to their cage while they're out and about.

Congrats on the cute little snow!

You should check out www.cornsnakes.com as well as this forum.
It is a forum dedicated to corns, and has a lot of good information if you have any trouble!

    Good luck!
